Project Profile

The Town of Bracebridge Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) made several accessibility upgrades to Kirby’s Beach Park including accessible picnic tables with accessible pathways, installation of a mobility mat that allows wheelchairs to roll right into the water, signage for accessible parking spaces, as well as creating a fully-accessible universal washroom. The AAC determined that the final component to deem Kirby’s Beach Park as fully-accessible would be to upgrade the playground so that it is accessible for everyone to enjoy together.

ABC Recreation designed and installed a fully accessible playground that children of all ages and abilities can enjoy. With a ramped playstructure, We-Go-Round, accessible swings, sensory panels, and more, this playground will be loved by the locals and visitors for years to come.
