Project Profile

ABC Recreation supplied a playground, splash pad, and shade structure for the Grand Bend Beach Enhancement Project. In addition to the many project specific requirements, 3 main objectives included: revitalising the area, providing family friendly amenities and a place to cool off and play when water conditions were unsuitable for swimming.

Included in the Grand Bend Beach Enhancement is an accessible playground complete with ramps, sensory panels, wheelchair accessible components, and built-in shade. Additionally, a splash pad with numerous spray features was installed. Lastly, fabric topped shade umbrellas along with a permanent shade structure were installed to provide protection from the sun, heat and rain.
